Jessica Hanlon, M.A., NCC, MHC-LP, ADHD-CCSF is a Mental Health Counselor practicing under a limited permit in the state of New York, operating under the name ADHD Focus Finder.

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) requirements for limited permit holders and is intended to ensure transparency regarding qualifications, supervision, and service limitations.

1. Credentials and Education

Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), credentialed through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and a certified provider in the clinical assessment and treatment planning of ADHD through CHADD, an accredited continuing education provider (ACE).

She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and has completed advanced training in ADHD assessment, executive functioning, and behavior management strategies receiving her certification from Evergreen Certified Professional Certifications.

2. Limited Permit Status

As a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP), Jessica is completing post-graduate clinical hours under supervision to fulfill licensure requirements in the state of New York. She has met all educational and examination criteria required by the NYSED and is accumulating the required 3000 hours for her independent license to practice. Per NYSED regulations, all counseling and diagnostic services are provided under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional.

4. Scope of Practice

Jessica provides the following services under supervision:

  • ADHD assessments and screening (using validated tools and objective measures)

  • Individual counseling for teens and adults

  • Psychoeducational support and treatment planning

  • Educational workshops and ADHD-related consultations

She does not provide legal evaluations, or services outside the scope of her permit or training.

5. Limitations of Services

As an MHC-LP:

  • Jessica cannot independently bill insurance and does not currently accept insurance plans

  • All services are provided on a private-pay basis unless otherwise arranged

  • She may only serve clients physically located in New York State

6. Risks and Benefits

As with any counseling relationship, participation may involve emotional discomfort or distress. Clients are encouraged to communicate openly and discuss concerns throughout the process. The counseling relationship is voluntary and may be terminated at any time by either party, with appropriate referrals offered as needed.
